Delete your account

01In the app

Open Boxed and go to Settings › Account actions › Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm. Your account and its data are deleted straight away, and we email you to confirm.

Want a copy first? Export your data from Settings › Data.

Without an account, deleting the app deletes everything, or you can erase it in Settings › Privacy.

02Without the app

Email [email protected] from the address you sign in with (if you use Continue with Google, your Google account’s email) and ask us to delete your account. You don’t need to install Boxed. We delete the account and everything below within 30 days and reply to confirm.

03What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently deletes:

• Your account and email address, and the name and profile picture from Google if you used Continue with Google
• Every Space you own, with its boxes, items, photos, labels, reminders and activity, from our servers
• Your membership of other people’s Shared Spaces
• Your push tokens and notification settings
• Your AI scan records
• The record of which plan you have

Things you added to someone else’s Shared Space belong to that Space and stay there, but your account is removed from its activity.

Copies in our services’ routine backups and logs expire on their own after a short time. Deleting can’t be undone.

04What we keep

Google Play and RevenueCat keep records of your purchases (what you bought and when) for as long as tax and accounting law require.

Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Plus subscription. Cancel it in Google Play › Subscriptions so you aren’t charged again.

Backup files you saved with Back Up Now are yours, wherever you put them, and aren’t affected.
